I served as Young Women’s president for almost 10 years between three wards. On several occasions, the Bishop of the ward I was serving in made comments to me about the young women referring to their clothing, their bodies and the thoughts it gave them and encouraged me to teach them the appropriate way to dress so that they would not be distracted.
On my last Sunday at church, I was serving in the presidency and there was a combined Young Women/ Young Men class (16 year olds and up) with both the YW and YM presidencies, the bishopric, and the stake presidency
The stake president talked to the boys about masturbation first. And then he turned to the girls and talked to them about it and addressed in graphic detail how it was different for them than the boys but it was equal in terms of sin and unworthiness.
Of almost TWENTY adults in the room at the time, I am the only one who called out the stake president and told him he was inappropriate.
After that day I asked to be released and I have not been back to church since.
