When I was 13, I started liking a young man in my ward about the same age. Around 15 we had started coupling off, but not boyfriend and girlfriend (cause that wasn’t allowed). My mom told my bishop of our relationship and he decided to have an interview with me.
It started very casual. I blushed a little when he brought up the boy. He asked how much I liked him, nothing to crazy. Then he asked how far we had been physically I told him holding hands and maybe a kiss on the cheek. Then he started telling me how the younger you start the sooner you will want more so to hold off on moving on as long as possible.
He followed up with “you know oral sex is still sex right. (My family was pretty open about sex so at the time I didn’t think this was crazy inappropriate. Uncomfortable, yes! I didn’t know what oral sex was so I told him I hadn’t heard that one before. He explained what it was and that’s when I learned what oral sex was. I told my mom I was a little uncomfortable but I never told her what he said exactly. But she said we’re close friends with the bishop and he was a therapist so he is just more open about that topic than most and I never thought of it again until this amazing protect LDS children movement.
