#635 Name Withheld. CS: Other: No consequences. But both my daughter and I remember the incident to this very day. (27 years later)

My daughter, who was 14 years old at the time, went to the bishop so she could get her temple recommend. She was going to the temple to be baptized for the dead. The bishop asked her personal questions about her morality. When she answered proudly that she was morally clean and had not done anything immoral, the bishop replied “oh come on, I was 14 years old once! You can be honest”. My daughter was upset that the bishop did not believe her and I was really angry about this horrible incident. I left the church over 20 years ago and this is one of the many reasons.
