Before I start, I want to make it clear that I am still a faithful member of the LDS church. I love and believe it with all of my heart. When I was 12 I went to apply for a temple recommend. The questions were pretty straight forward. I was asked many sexual questions such as “have you ever had sex”, “have you ever viewed pornography”, etc. I was extremely uncomfortable. I knew the leader didn’t have any ill intentions, but it was one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever been asked. I mean, can’t they at least have women leaders do that portion of the interview? I feel that we shouldn’t be asked these questions. If any member wants to talk about sexual sin with a leader they can make an appointment. We don’t have to be asked about our sexual lives out of the blue in a normal interview.
